FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

The Course states it is suitable for ages 5+. I have a child who is under 5, would I be able to bring him along?

Our workshops are designed to be challenging. We do not follow the national curriculum. Age is given as a guidance only. Some young children are mature and able to work at the expected level, others require a lot of adult support. We have found from experience, it is rare for under 5’s to be able to appreciate the content and pace of the workshops. We would therefore advise you wait until your child hits 5.

I have booked, but am unable to make it. Will my money be refunded?

We are regretfully unable to offer refunds or transfers on all advance bookings.

Can I leave my child?

All workshops are designed to be drop-off. Our Staff are DBS checked and First Aid qualified.
Please ensure we are aware of any medical needs, allergy information and have up-to-date emergency contact information for your child.

I am interested in attending some Femtinos Courses, but they are all too far from where we live!

Please contact us clearly stating which locations you would prefer the workshops to take place. Please provide details of any venues you have in mind and we shall see what we can do!

Do we have to block book courses?

Some courses have trial workshops which you can book for one session and see whether it is a good fit for your child. If you wish to continue, we would then expect a block booking for the remaining 5 weeks.

I want to come to a workshop, can I pay at the door?

All workshops require advance booking. We do not take cash payments.

I was interested in bringing my child to a workshop, but it is now fully booked!

You can book onto the waiting list and you will be informed should a place become available.

I work in a school and we would be interested in having a workshop at our school, is this possible?

Yes, we can deliver workshops in schools, libraries, art galleries, community centres – anywhere you’d like us too. Please send us information via the contact us page.

My child is SEN, would the sessions be suitable for him/her?

We would like to think our sessions are inclusive of all children and will work with the needs your child has to make them feel as welcomed as possible. We understand that one size does not fit all. We see SEN as an extension of a child’s personality and characteristics – just as we would work to make a shy child feel included in sessions, we will also strive to ensure a child with any Special Educational Need or disability is provided with the support to make them feel included. Please contact us if you wish to discuss your child’s needs before booking.

My child is home-schooled, do you offer home ed sessions?

Yes we run a programme of courses for home schooled pupils which run day time during the school term.
